Tips For Ensuring Success with ADVANCED DeckOver®

See product label or website for required surface prep and application steps.
Proper preparation and application are key to achieving a beautiful deck with long-lasting results. Here are some tips to help you achieve success with your ADVANCED DeckOver project.

Use the Proper Tools

Best results are achieved when you use the recommended tools.

  • 13 mm (½″) nap roller is recommended; a brush or 6 mm (¼″) nap roller can also be used for a smoother finish
  • 19 mm (¾″) nap roller can be used but dry time will be longer
  • Airless sprayer only recommended for experienced users
  • No honeycomb rollers

A Clean and Sound Surface is Required.

  • Remove dirt, oil, grease or any other debris or stain on the surface
  • Replace rotting or unstable boards
  • Remove loose wood fibers or wood fuzz
  • Remove peeling paint/coating
Your Surface Must be Completely Dry.

Apply ADVANCED DeckOver only on a completely dry surface. After cleaning with water and appropriate cleaning products, allow a minimum of 24 hours of dry time

  • If you live in a high-moisture region, allow for a longer dry time
  • If weather conditions are damp, allow for a longer dry time
  • Do not apply in direct sunlight.
  • If rain is predicted within 24 hours, don't apply
  • Do not apply under foggy, high-moisture, or cool temperature conditions
Where You Apply is Important.
