BEHR Fast Drying Water-Based Polyurethane Floor Finish is a crystal-clear protective finish that protects your bare interior wood surfaces and stained interior wood surfaces with BEHR Water-Based Wood Stains. This durable polyurethane is designed to prolong the life of your wood surface and create a smooth, lasting finish. This product enhances the look and color of your wood surface, allowing its true beauty to shine through. Multiple sheens are available depending on your desired look.

READY TO USE. PROTECT FROM FREEZING.
For use on Interior residential wood floors, bare wood, stained or previously finished wood, old/reclaimed wood. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR: Linoleum, vinyl, glazed tiles and metal.
CAUTION: Clear top coated surfaces may be slippery when wet.
Surface Preparation
The following steps are recommended for the best results.
PREVIOUSLY FINISHED SURFACES:
- For best results, must be clean, dry, and free of wax, grease, oil, shellac, lacquer, mildew, and polishes.
- Waxes must be removed with a wax stripper, sanding does not remove wax.
- Shellac must be removed with a paint stripper.
- Previously finished floors in good condition should be cleaned with TSP (Tri-Sodium Phosphate) solution in water and rinsed thoroughly with clean water.
- Do not use TSP on bare wood floors as discolouring will occur.
- Some types of pre-finished factory-finished flooring may not be compatible with BEHR Polyurethane Floor Finish.
- Old finishes in bad condition must be removed.
- If sanding old finish removed all sanding dust with vacuum or cloth dampened with mineral spirits.
STAINED OR PAINTED WOOD:
- Follow manufacturer’s directions for application of stain or paint.
- Make sure the surface is thoroughly dry before applying Behr Floor Finish.
- Refer to the manufacturer’s label for dry times. For best results use Behr Advanced Formula Wood Stains and finishes.
UNFINISHED SURFACE PREPARATION:
- Sand all wood surfaces in the direction of the wood grain to desired smoothness.
- Remove all sanding dust with a vacuum followed by wiping with a cloth dampened with water.

Application
- Stir thoroughly before and during use.
- To prevent bubbles in the finish DO NOT SHAKE. DO NOT THIN. Do not apply indirect sunlight or in temperatures below 10o C or above 32o C.
- If a wood stain colour is desired before applying Behr Polyurethane Floor Finish use Behr Fast Drying Water-Based Wood Stain. Follow all label instructions.
- Use a high-quality nylon/polyester bristle brush or a synthetic pad applicator for larger areas.
- Do not apply with a roller. Always maintain a wet edge to avoid lap marks.
- For maximum durability, 3 coats are required, 4 coats if desired. Apply thin coats, do not allow puddling.
- Allow the finish to dry at least 1 hour between coats but less than 8 hours.
- A light sanding between coats is not required, but if a maximum smooth finish is desired, allow 1-2 hours for each coat to dry before lightly sanding with 220-320 grit sandpaper.

Dry Time
- Dries to touch in 1 hour.

LIMITED WARRANTY: For one year from the date of purchase, Behr Paint Company warrants to the original consumer purchaser, (1) that the product meets Behr Paint Company manufacturing specifications, and (2) the performance of this product when applied according to the label instructions and specifications. If this product is found not to perform as specified on the label within one year from the date of purchase, Behr Paint Company will, at its option and upon presentation of proof-of-purchase (the original receipt), either furnish an equivalent amount of new product or refund the original purchase price of this product to you. The clause of limitation of liability which follows is inapplicable in Quebec. This warranty excludes (1) labour and costs of labour for the application or removal of any product, and (2) any incidental or consequential damages, whether based on breach of express or implied warranty, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranties including the implied warranties of merchantability and of fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this express warranty.
