Take the time to properly clean and prepare your cabinet doors. Removing all the dust and grime is essential to achieve the desired results. Depending on what colour you are painting over, you may need to apply a coat of primer first.

Sandpaper (150-220 Grit)
Grab your tools.
To get started, clean your cabinet doors to make sure that all dust and grime is gone.
Using a block sander, sand in a back and forth motion, moving with the grain of the wood.
Wipe off the excess dust.
TIP: If your cabinets are new, you’ll want to use a coat of primer.
Start painting with the grain, starting in the middle and move out toward the edges.
TIP: To ensure that the color is as rich as possible, consider adding a second coat.
Repeat for the remaining doors.
